Massage and Body Work

Professional Therapeutic Massage. Choose your ideal holistic treatment from among our unique menu of offerings, for an unforgettable experience in one of Panama’s most beautiful settings.

Swedish Relaxation Massage. Traditional long, gliding strokes and kneading, using the palms of the hands and the forearms, with the pressure you prefer. Soothes sore muscles and stressed minds, calms the sympathetic nervous system, and promotes healing and restoration via stimulation of the circulatory and lymphatic systems. We use 100% pure Jojoba extract, imported from Arizona or, if you wish, imported natural and organic aromatherapy products.

Deep Tissue Massage. Addresses deep-lying muscles of neck, shoulder, and lower back and the aches and pains of an active life, using focused pressure, friction, and vibration. We treat problems areas with the well-known product Biofreeze and/or the Peaceful Mountain (Boulder, CO) line of natural organic and wild-crafted herbal rescue gels.

Hawaiian LomiLomi Nui Massage. The sacred temple-style massage traditionally offered by kahuna healers to island royalty. It begins with pu'ule ( prayer) and features long, gliding strokes with forearms and hands, in the style of the frigate bird, as taught by Abraham of Kauai.

Chair Massage. Uses David Palmer's Touch Pro Chair Massage protocol for a relaxing yet invigorating and focused compression and acupressure treatment of neck, back, arms, hands, and head. Massages range from 5 to 20 minutes and cost $1.00 per minute.

Foot Reflexology. You can make this professional treatment of finger pressure on precise areas of the feet a mini-feature of your Deep Tissue massage, or choose a separate 30 or 60-minute treatment, combined with the application of L'Occitane's aromatic lavender or cypress foot creams. This technique clears and balances the internal energy pathways connecting the feet and the body's various organs and zones.

Manual Lymph Drainage. For face and neck, as taught by Dr. Bruno Chickly of the Upledger Institute. A very gentle, natural technique for soothing and smoothing the face and neck area, while promoting lymphatic drainage and providing relaxation for the whole body.

Magic Rainbow 60 or 90-minute Massage. You experience the magic as we create a massage which blends these techniques according to your wishes, like the colors of a rainbow.

Rates for 2009: $40.00 per hour and $20.00 per half-hour for Swedish Relaxation Massage with Jojoba extract. $45.00 per hour and $25.00 per half-hour for Deep Tissue, Reflexology, and Aromatherapy/Rescue Herbs Massage. Chair Massage $1.00 per minute.
